I had an elective CABG surgery right before Christmas 2023. This is my blog about my experience, to help others facing it themselves. It was not as bad as I had feared, and I learned a whole lot along the way!

2 years and a world of difference

2 years ago today I had open heart surgery.

I can barely believe it. It feels like a dream.
I am doing great and things are back to 'normal.'

I've had great checkups with the docs, and all is well.

I need to amp up my exercise a bit, winter makes it hard.

But I am here, I am well, and I am so grateful for everyone that was part of this journey.

If you are here for info or advice, I want you to know that you CAN do this, it will go by so fast, and you will recover. The beginning is rough, but only for the very early parts.

You can go back to my first posts and read everything to see how it went.

I also tagged the key ones on the right hand sidebar.

But you can do this.

You can recover.

Life will go back to normal.

Please also know that I pray daily for everyone who reads my blog, reaches out to me on forums for advice, or who is out there somewhere scared about their future because of open heart surgery.

God bless you!
